SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Have you been curious about using solar energy at your South Lake Tahoe home or business? Curious if we can use the panels on our snow-covered roofs?

Liberty Utilities is holding a free solar workshop in South Lake Tahoe on February 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the library to provide information on solar energy and their Solar Incentive Program.

Liberty Utility representatives will host discuss various aspects of installing and using solar energy for both residential and small business facilities. Anyone can attend, but only Liberty Utilities customers are eligible to apply for the utility's Solar Incentive Program (SIP) which provides cash incentives to offset the cost of installing solar panels on their home, small business, or schools within Liberty's service territory. Liberty customers can install solar systems capable of offsetting or even eliminating some or all of their annual energy consumption charges.

Representatives will also discuss energy efficiency options available through Liberty Utilities, including free energy audits to identify ways homeowners and businesses can save on both energy use and costs. There will also be a preview of the forthcoming electric vehicle charging rebate program.
