POSTPONED - South Lake Tahoe to hold community event to honor first responders prior to Tahoe Brewfest at LTCC

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The City of South Lake Tahoe is partnering with Lake Tahoe Community College and the Tahoe Brewfest in hosting “A Community Event: Welcome Back Tahoe, Honoring Our Heroes” event on Saturday, Sept. 25.

The event is taking place prior to the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe's annual Tahoe Brewfest on the college campus.

The City's Welcome Back celebration will not only serve as a time to honor and thank first responders, it will also be a fundraiser for the El Dorado Community Foundation's Caldor Fire Relief Fund.

12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. - Elected Official Welcome, First Responder Stories, and Community Photo

1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Tahoe Brewfest. 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., VIP entry; 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. General Admission for Brewfest. Tickets for the Brewfest can be purchased HERE. They could sell out so prior purchase may be necessary.

12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Kid friendly activities, including bounce houses, Smokey the Bear, Captain Cal, and fire trucks will on the LTCC grass fields.

The public will be provided an opportunity to thank those who were involved in protecting our community from the Caldor Fire.

El Dorado Community Foundation will be at the Community Gathering on Sept. 25 to accept donations that will go toward the Caldor Fire Relief Fund, which will provide, through an application process, recovery assistance to permanent El Dorado County residents who have suffered 25 percent or more structural damage to their primary residence.

Beer cans will also be sold from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. by Lake Tahoe AleWorX and Cold Water Brewery with proceeds going to El Dorado Community Foundation.
