SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The High Sierra Softball League is looking forward to its 2026 season and is looking for young women ages 5-17 to fill the divisions. Registration began on January 3 and runs through February 15, with the season running from April 18 to June 14. Opening Day ceremonies will be held on April 18, 2026, at the South Tahoe Middle School softball field.
The goal of the growing league is to support and empower the young girls of our community.
The new maximum age for the majors division this year is 17 years old (in previous years, the majors division was 14-16 years). Minis – ages 5-7 years old. Farm – 8-10 years old. Minors – 11-13 years old. And Majors – 14-17 years old. The league goes by the age the player is on June 14, 2026.
Families can register online at the High Sierra Softball Website. The league says it is best accessed from a laptop or computer. Some users have had trouble registering online using a smartphone.
There are scholarships available again this year.
