SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – There will be a break between storms to start the week around Lake Tahoe until a cold front brings another round of gusty winds and mountain snow late Wednesday through Thursday.

There were impressive amounts of snow with this weekend’s storm, though it came too late for many ski resorts that closed due to a lack of snow last week. We`ll have a chilly end to the week, followed by a warm start to the weekend, but the storm door remains open as the synoptic pattern indicates another Pacific storm approaching by the late portion of the weekend, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
