SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – This weekend’s upper level low pressure is moving out of the region Monday, with above normal temperatures and no rain (or snow) in the weeklly forecast.
There`s a 30-60 percent chance for wind gusts over 30 mph Wednesday. With the warm conditions and low RH values, isolated areas of 2-4 hours of critical fire weather conditions are likely, especially where already dry fuels reside, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
There is another pattern change at the end of the week with the arrival of an upper level trough. However, models are having difficulty pinpointing the location and timing of the low, said NWS Reno. At this time, the following week jumps back into the 70s.
In the meantime, enjoy the great gardening weather!
