SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) will be hosting distinguished scholar Dr. John Rosenberg for a captivating lecture, “Exploring the Wonders of Camino De Santiago,” on July 28, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Duke Theater. Admission is free, and the presentation will be in English.
Sponsored by very generous private donors and LTCC, this annual event highlights Dr. Rosenberg’s decades of cultural and art expertise. His presentation will immerse attendees in the history, art, music, and architecture of the legendary thousand-year-old pilgrimage route leading to Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain.
Dr. Rosenberg, a former professor of Spanish Literature at Brigham Young University, starting in 1985, holds a Ph.D. from Cornell University. A highly decorated academic, he has secured nine juried grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities totaling nearly $1 million. He has spent decades leading student tours and conducting advanced studies across Spain.

European history and culture,” said Diane Rosner, former ISSI Director and Dean of Instruction at LTCC. “We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Rosenberg back to share his deep passion and unparalleled insights with our community.”
