LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Join the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) on July 16 for a presentation of the State of the Lake Report, featuring TERC Director Dr. Stephanie Hampton, at Granlibakken Tahoe. You will learn about the lake’s current health and gain insights into new technologies that will inform future management and restoration decisions.
The Tahoe State of the Lake report informs nonscientists about key factors affecting Lake Tahoe’s health. It provides the scientific underpinnings for restoration and management decisions within the Lake Tahoe Basin.
The 2026 report summarizes data collected during 2025 in the context of the long-term research record at Lake Tahoe. UC Davis researchers have continuously monitored the lake since 1968.
TERC director Stephanie Hampton, Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at UC Davis, will share report highlights during a live presentation for an informative and lively interpretation of the most recent data.
