GLENBROOK, Nev. — Keep Memory Alive’s annual Summer Festival & Rodeo at Shakespeare Ranch, a private Lake Tahoe estate in Glenbrook, Nev., returns on Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30 for another weekend of rodeo excitement to raise funds in the fight against neurodegenerative diseases and recognize local philanthropist and entrepreneur Kern Schumacher with the Community Leadership Award.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Live Violence Free is hosting a Pop-Up Thrift Shop on June 29 and 30, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the American Legion parking lot. Discover gently used clothing, household items, and more, all while supporting a great cause! Enjoy delicious food from a variety of food trucks as you shop.

LVF is accepting gently used clothing, household items, electronics, tools, and sports equipment for the event. Donations can be dropped off at the nonprofit's office on June 7/8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Historical Society is bringing back its popular summer speaker series, Tahoe History Talks on the Beach, on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. starting June 25.

The free talks are held at Lakeview Commons on the west side steps. Lakeview Commons is located at the corner of US50 and Lakeview Ave. There is plenty of free parking.

11th Annual Keep Tahoe Red, White and Blue Beach Cleanup

After Tahoe’s celebrated July 4th festivities, our beaches and surrounding areas can become covered with trash, endangering wildlife and the Lake’s clarity. Each year on July 5th, Tahoe residents and visitors turn out for the largest cleanup of the year to remove litter from Lake Tahoe’s shores. You can help Keep Tahoe Blue by volunteering at a beach cleanup sites around the Lake!

Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe holds Crawfish Festival
