Al Tahoe Firewise holding BBQ, shredding fundraiser

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Al Tahoe Firewise Community is holding a double fundraiser, informational event, and barbecue on Saturday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Al Tahoe Firewise is the largest Firewise USA® district in the Tahoe Basin.
The Al Tahoe community BBQ is at Fire Station #2 (2951 Lake Tahoe Blvd.) and is open to all residents and owners in the Al Tahoe neighborhood.
During the same hours, there will be a fundraiser shredding event at the American Legion building, 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd. A suggested donation per bag or box of shredding is $10-$15.
At the fire station, there will be a bake sale along with the barbecue, wood art for sale, and wildfire mitigation information.
