Get involved at Live Violence Free's 'Day of Service'

Event Date:
June 3, 2017 - 9:00am

After this harsh winter, so many of our homes and businesses are in dire need of a paint touch-up, some gardening, or other cleanup projects to help keep our community beautiful. Like many other local buildings, Live Violence Free is gearing up to bring their office back to the polished, welcoming space it has been since it was opened years ago.

They are in need of your help with raking, gardening, painting, organizing, and sprucing up their South Lake Tahoe office location. Live Violence Free needs as many hands as possible to clean and decorate the building exterior to create a beautiful and safe environment for community members and families in need who come through their doors.

Stop by their office on Saturday, June 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to volunteer your time and support. Come and lend a hand at South Lake Tahoe's only organization serving community members impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.

They will have many different projects to work on throughout the day, for people of all levels of ability and handiness. From painting birdhouses, to raking the yard, or simply picking up debris, Live Violence Free needs as many volunteers as possible to restore the beauty of their surroundings.

Please bring supplies necessary for yardwork and other projects if you have them. Make sure to come wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you won't mind getting dirty!
