Sunrise digital photowalk at Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe

Join Rachid Dahnoun, an outdoor and adventure photographer, for an early photowalk at one of America's most beautiful locations, and Lake Tahoe gem, Emerald Bay, on Saturday, July 15 from 4:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Spend the morning learning the basic principles and techniques that Dahnoun uses in his award winning landscape photography. Photograph this beautiful area at sunrise through the early morning hours.

Dahnoun will discuss techniques such as: exposure, composition and how to anticipate light and weather. There will be time at the end of the shooting session to ask any questions you may have. Finally, there will be an option to upload your favorite shot for critique once you have processed your photographs.

Suggested gear: Camera, tripod, shutter release cable, water, snack, light hiking shoes, extra clothing layer.

Cost: Photo walk participation will cost $10 per person and goes to the photo walk leader to support their work. Purchase here.

Lowepro celebrates 50 years of innovation, they will be sharing their passion for digital storytelling with fans through a day of hosted photo walks around the globe with some of the best photographers in the industry. (see video here) Participants will get the rare chance to capture iconic scenes unique to each location and learn from the photographers who know these regions best. While on these walks leaders will teach their groups about skills like composition, smartphone photography, how to use natural light to your best advantage and retouching images directly from some of the brightest photographers in the field.
