Event Date:
July 1, 2016 - 11:00am

Ticket sales begin today for the Lake Tahoe Historical Society's Chautauqua at Lake Tahoe 2016, held Saturday, August 13, at the Duke Theater, Lake Tahoe Community College.

Step back in time with some interesting characters and help The Lake Tahoe Historical Society with its annual fundraiser. On Saturday, August 13th beginning at 5:15, a company of talented players will entertain and educate you. Since it is the 100th anniversary of the National Park system, we have none other than—Theodore Roosevelt played by Doug Mishler. In addition, Etta Farmer—El Dorado’s first woman doctor by Ellen Osborn, Sierra Nevada Vade Phillips—woman entrepreneur in the 1800s by Mary Jo Sonntag, Laura Fair—fatal mistress by Kim Harris Copél, and Tahoe traveler, Agnes Diamond, created by Marilyn Long will share their stories with you. The event will take place at the Lake Tahoe Community College Duke Theater, preceded by socializing, hearty appetizers, wine, and some lovely raffle items. More details will be announced in our Summer Newsletter.

Tickets go on sale July 1st at the History Museum, 3058 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe. Tickets are $45 for Members and $50 for nonmembers. Don’t miss what Teddy Roosevelt called the "...the most American thing in America!" For more information, please call 530-541-5458.
