Learn how to start a business during Startup Weekend Tahoe

Startup Weekend Tahoe is back and headed to the South Shore November 3-5, 2017/

Take that idea you've had and see if you can build a business surrounded by the beauty of Lake Tahoe! Don't have an idea? That's okay, too!

Get ready for a weekend-long, hands-on experience where you will learn what it takes to launch a startup, meet others with the same shared passion for entrepreneurship, and maybe even create a new business!

Startup Weekends are 54-hour events where developers, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups!

Beginning with open mic pitches on Friday, attendees bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team. Over Saturday and Sunday teams focus on customer development, validating their ideas, practicing LEAN Startup Methodologies and building a minimal viable product. Experienced mentors and coaches will be there every step of the way to support the teams. On Sunday evening teams demo their prototypes in a live pitch competition for the community at Lake Tahoe Community College's Duke Theater and will receive valuable feedback from a panel of expert judges. Guest speakers and industry experts from Sacramento to Tahoe to Reno will also make appearances throughout the weekend.
