Holiday Music with Spice

Event Date:
December 2, 2016 - 7:30pm

LTCC Chorus and Tahoe Choir invite you to "A Holiday with a Spice" concert. They will perform some 'well-seasoned' pieces, from early epochs - by Victoria and Handel, through traditional British and American songs, like "Scarborough Fair", and finished with a touch of humor from PDQ Bach's "The Seasonings".

The audience is in for a real treat in the second half of the concert with its 'spicy' jazzy music. It opens with  the children's choir and Marcia Sarosik dancers performing familiar "A Charlie Brown Christmas", and the choir continuing with jazzy arrangements of "Silent Night", "White Christmas", "We Three Kings", "Go Tell It On the Mountain", and "A Christmas Song".

Performances will be held on Friday, December 2, 7:30 PM at the Duke Theater on the LTCC campus, and on Sunday, December 4, 3:00 PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church (1041 Lyons Avenue, South Lake Tahoe). Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and are available from any choir member or at the door 30 minutes before show time.

This music will surely marvel/delight your senses, so don't hesitate to spice up your holidays!
