Arrest made after woman admits to setting Truckee fire

UPDATE 5:45PM - As a result of a coordinated investigation involving Truckee Police and Cal Fire personnel, the cause of this afternoon's wildland fire was determined to have been human-caused. A female suspect was taken into custody after evidence was obtained indicating she was responsible for setting several spot fires which resulted in the bigger fire Thursday that led to evacuations.

She later admitted to investigators of having set the fires intentionally.

She is currently in custody with numerous arson charges pending. Her name is not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.

UPDATE 2:08PM - TRK-E112 remains under evacuation order. The fire is being held at 12 acres, according to the Truckee Fire Dept. Forward progress has been stopped. The Truckee Police Department is evacuating a neighborhood near Glenshire in Truckee.
