With a steady increase in confirmed cases over the last few weeks combined with the 4th of July influx of visitors, the County's Public Health Officer Dr. Nancy Williams is looking at the possibility of more restrictive measures for businesses and the public.
Investigation leads to return of custom bar top to brewery in South Lake Tahoe

On June 30, 2020, deputies from El Dorado County Sheriff's Office (EDSO) got an LPR (License Plate Reader) hit on a truck in Meyers.
The truck was traveling west on US50 and deputies found the truck near Ice House Road and attempted a traffic stop. The driver turned onto a rocky dirt road, stopped by the American River and took off on foot.

Their 31t annual Elegant Evening was slated to be held at Harrah's Tahoe on April 18 with a sit-down dinner, live music, and dancing, raffle, and auction. The venue closed and restrictions on meeting in groups of over 10 people were created, so what do you do with an event that brings together 500 community members?
Move it online, of course.

Sales tax revenues increase in South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County

The first sales tax report for 2019 has been released, with $2,580,475 in gross receipts in South Lake Tahoe during Q4/Q1 and $11,976,387 in the unincorporated areas of El Dorado County. During the same two-quarter period the year before, tax revenues were $2,390,631 and $9,925,645 respectively.

They are all community minded and collaborated on Friday, December 14 to create a Tahoe batch of Resilience IPA. All proceeds from the ale will go to the Camp Fire fund.
In January the beer will be available at any of the four establishments in South Lake Tahoe.

Guests at the event had the opportunity to taste wines from over 30 different wineries, six breweries and 20 restaurants. Each guest voted for their favorite winery, restaurant and brewery.

They restored crumbling stream banks, worked to protect native species and removed litter from Nevada Beach at Lake Tahoe.
“Hands-on restoration work is one of the most important actions we can take to Keep Tahoe Blue,” says Marilee Movius, the League’s community engagement manager, “and many hands make for lighter work to help out our busy land managers.”

Midnight North opens the 10th annual Concert Under the Stars, A Benefit for The Greenhouse Project in Carson City, Wednesday, July 11, with a performance that promises to deliver something for everyone.
Since its founding, Midnight North has grown a cross-generational following comprised of those who love solid musicianship, great songwriting and beautifully blended harmonies, all of which are showcased on each of their albums, including their recently released “Under The Lights.”
Over 3,000 attend 2nd annual Tahoe Brewfest
Submitted by paula on Wed, 06/06/2018 - 9:31pmThe weather, the venue and the crowd all combined for a successful 2nd annual Tahoe Brewfest, a fundraiser for the Lake Tahoe Boys & Girls Club. 34 breweries gave out samples of their craft beers to the over 3,000 people who attended the event held at the Heavenly Mountain Resort California Base Lodge June 2.
Also there for the guests was Parker Bros. Root Beer, kombucha, live music from Ike and Martin, and local food vendors.
Attendees weren't just from South Lake Tahoe as there were many from out-of-town, including visitors from Chicago and Whistler, Canada.

Grab your bikes and beach cruisers and head over to Sidellis Brewery on June 10 for the annual Lake Tahoe Slow Rollers Poker Run. For a $25 entry fee, enjoy fun on the bikes and collect cards at different stops, all in search of the best poker hand.
The fee covers the ride and poker game, three raffle tickets and lunch. Sidellis will be providing barbecue or vegan choices for food. Sign up at noon, ride starts at 1:00 p.m.

Tahoe Pourhouse prepares to open in South Lake Tahoe

The Tahoe Pourhouse is located in the Crossing at Tahoe Valley, currently home to two other popular eateries, Lake Tahoe Alexworx and Verde. They will share the outdoor plaza with the new brewery.

The 2nd annual Tahoe Brewfest returns to South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Heavenly Resort California Lodge. Beer lovers from all over the world are invited to enjoy a day of the famous Tahoe sun, 18 breweries, food vendors, music by Ike & Martin and lots of fun.
