Three Placerville 18 year olds have been arrested in connection with three auto thefts that took place in South Lake Tahoe between 7 p.m. March 31 and 11 a.m. April 1. The trio is also suspected in stealing contents from other cars as well.

Brian Barnes, Elija Kidwell and Sean Murphy were arrested and book into El Dorado County Jail on felony charges of auto theft, possession of stolen property and conspiracy for at least one of the auto thefts and to some of the property thefts.

A mid-day car crash on Monday led to the arrest of a couple out of San Mateo, CA on charges of hit and run, conspiracy to commit a crime, and transportation/sales of methamphetamine.

In an indictment unsealed Tuesday, three El Dorado County women — Teresa Marie Marty, of Pollock Pines, Rebecca Bandera-Marty of Shingle Springs, and Pamela Harris of Placerville — were charged with conspiring to defraud the United States, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service announced.

A 26-year-old Placerville man pleaded guilty Friday to conspiring to manufacture, distribute, and possess with intent to distribute marijuana, U.S. Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner said.

If the TTD took the $70 Million that they say it will cost to build the loop road and fix up the area they would still have enough over to give us a free bus system like most of the other resort towns. They are not alleviating any traffic flows or amount of cars only diverting them faster to Nevada. How is diverting the traffic helping the traffic situation, we will still have the same amount of cars on the road.
