Edgewood Companies has announced that Corinna Osborne will be Edgewood Tahoe’s new general manager.

The Massachusetts native has more than 15 years of experience in the local hospitality industry. Prior to joining Edgewood Tahoe, Osborne has worked at MontBleu, served as general manager of Horizon Resort and was part of the rebranding and opening for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe where she was the director of non-gaming operations.

There will be three viewing parties in South Lake Tahoe for The Bachelor on Monday, January 22. Scenes of the show were shot at several Lake Tahoe locations, including Valhalla Tahoe, Hard Rock Hotel Tahoe and Edgewood Tahoe, and they'll all be hosting parties for the show! Valhalla's party will be at Sidelines Sports Pub at the Beach Retreat and Lodge, the Edgewood Party will be at their Brooks' Bar & Grill and the Hard Rock Party is in Vinyl.

Hard Rock Lake Tahoe has two ways to enjoy the evening:

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE – The winners of the 10th annual Blue Ribbon Awards were announced Thursday night at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The 24th annual Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe Golf Classic will be held Monday, October 16 at Edgewood Tahoe.

The Golf Classic is the premier fundraiser for the Club and this year their Board of Directors has a goal of raising over $60,000 for the children of the community.

For almost four decades, Halloween in South Lake Tahoe has been a party like no other with the annual Freakers Ball bringing people in from all over to demonstrate their creative talents in costume creations.

Local Brian Williams started the tradition inside the Tahoe Palace, a Chinese restaurant which was located next to Raley's at Stateline at the time. He named the event after the 1972 Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show song, "Freaker's Ball." The location changed from there, to the old Super 8 (Knight's Inn), Edgewood Tahoe, the former nightclub Turtles, then to Caesars Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) officials didn't have to look far in getting a replacement for Ryan Galles, outgoing Sierra House Elementary principal.

South Lake Tahoe native Karin Holmes will take the school's top spot on an interim basis beginning August 7.

"It is very exciting," Karin told South Tahoe Now. "What they are doing at Sierra House is amazing! With the garden and health and fitness focus there is no moss growing at the school."

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The 28th annual American Century Championship is in the books, and former major league pitcher Mark Mulder won for the third straight year, the first three-peat at the celebrity golf classic at Edgewood Tahoe.

Mulder and his wife Lindsey once again brought their three kids to Lake Tahoe, all who ran out to the 18th green after Mark finished the day with a three-day total of 73 with the modified Stableford scoring.

Day one of the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe is in the book, and former MLB All-Star pitcher Derek Lowe is in the lead. In round one, Lowe scored a 25 in the modified Stableford scoring format.

Favorites to win, Mark Mulder and Tony Romo are 3 back, and 11 back respectively.

The second round of play gets underway at Edgewood Tahoe on Saturday at 7:50 a.m.

"Charles Barkley became a beacon of hope and support for the firefighters and the recovery efforts of the community," Tahoe Douglas Fire Marshal Eric Guevin told the crowd at the 10th tee Friday morning. "Charles, we are here to support and cheer you on in your game today. We want people to care, be aware and prepare for wildfires. On behalf of the Fire Chiefs of Lake Tahoe, Sir Charles thank you for caring."

Nic Buccholz, a 2017 Whittell High school graduate and stand-out student athlete, was awarded the 8th annual Gene Upshaw Scholarship award.

Buccholz was honored during the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe on Tuesday. The $5,000 college scholarship is funded equally by NBC Sports and Edgewood Companies.

The scholarship was started in honor of the former Oakland Raider, NFL Hall of Famer and executive director of the NFL Players Association who played during the South Lake Tahoe golf tournament for several years.

During the South Lake Tahoe City Council meeting Tuesday, City Manager Nancy Kerry said former President Bill Clinton may be arriving into town for the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at Stateline this week.

While the former president isn't scheduled to play golf during the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe this week, he may be arriving at the Lake Tahoe Airport as celebrities are also arriving, said Kerry.

The city has made preparations for his arrival, but there is no guarantee he'll show, she said.

American Century Golf Championship in South Lake Tahoe is always a fun place to be during their week-long tournament, but fans need to know of some new policies that will be strictly enforced in 2017.

The tournament takes place at Edgewood Tahoe July 11-16, 2017.

There is no bag check or camera check area as in the past, so if attempting to enter and items you are carrying are not allowed they will have to be returned to motel room, vehicles or disposed of.

No backpacks or large purses. All bags are subject to search.

Not only humans enjoy hanging out in Lake Tahoe, the Canadian Goose does as well, and according to many, perhaps too well. The annual goose roundup is now complete with 118 of the geese from Lake Tahoe now living at the Wild Horse Reservoir in Elko County.

June 25 to July 10, 2007: The Angora Fire destroys 242 homes, burns 3,100 acres, destroys 67 commercial structures, and damages 35 other homes. The fire was 100% contained by July 2 and firefighters had 100% control of the fire on July 10.

July 13 to July 15, 2007: 78 celebrities participate in the American Century Golf Championship at Edgewood Tahoe.

The City of South Lake Tahoe is pleased to announce the appeal of the Planning Commission’s approval of the Mitigated Negative Declaration of the Bijou Park Creek Marketplace (former Knights Inn) project has been withdrawn. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Justin Timberlake is returning to Lake Tahoe for his third consecutive year playing in the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe. The singer/actor was an instant crowd favorite in his first year, and continued to be fan favorite in 2016.

Timberlake, an avid golfer, has a 4-handicap. Besides singing, acting, being a husband and father, he is also known for his philanthropic endeavors.
