Winter White was the theme at Tahoe Regional Young Professionals’ (TRYP) inaugural holiday party raising more than $3,000 for Tahoe Youth & Family Services (TYFS) on Saturday, November 19 at Riva Grill.

It has been quite a year for Lake Tahoe's outdoor adventure tribal elder Todd Offenbacher. The film festival founder, Lake Tahoe TV host, mountaineer and unofficial statesmen of all things uniquely outdoors has been to the Arctic Circle, just returned from a trip to Antarctica, and will be featured in two segments on the popular Discovery Channel program Flying Wild in Alaska.

The Brotherhood Motorcycle Club of South Lake Tahoe will have their annual Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner giveaway at 10am at Sierra Community Church located at 1165 Sierra Blvd on Wednesday November 23rd. Tahoe Regional Planning Agency employee Gary Weigel was honored as the recipient of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Blue Ribbon Award in the Public Agency Service category for his exemplary customer service as a Senior Planner at TRPA.

“I was shocked and pleasantly surprised when I found out I had been selected for a Blue Ribbon Award by the community,” Weigel said, “but also very excited. It’s a tremendous honor.”

TRPA’s Executive Director, Joanne Marchetta, agreed.
