Alumnus returns to the South Tahoe High gym to attempt his 500th career win

His framed photo still sits high on the wall of the gym at South Tahoe High, one that highlights his being awarded the 1983-84 MVP award for Northern Nevada high school basketball players.
Drew Hibbs lead the South Tahoe High basketball team back then, and now he is returning to his old stomping grounds as the coach of two-time California State basketball champion Foothill High School Mustangs, the Sacramento Bee Coach of the Decade, and a coach looking for his 400th career win.

Submitted by paula on Sat, 08/29/2015 - 10:00pmUnion Mine High School sophomores Nick Brown and Justin Schwartz had just finished leading their junior varsity football team to a 27-8 win over Foothill High School on Friday night when people noticed something wasn’t quite right.
Then Brown passed out, said El Dorado Union High School District Superintendent Stephen Wehr.
The two were rushed to the emergency care, Brown to Sutter Roseville Medical Center and Schwartz to Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center, according to Wehr.
