The Tahoe Chamber has launched the GO Local Tahoe Digital Gift Card program to boost immediate local spending that will support South Shore restaurants, retailers and service providers throughout the recent Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. The GO Local Tahoe Card is a community based, e-gift card that allows you to give the gift of supporting LOCAL and allows your recipient to spend with local businesses of their choice. The ease of this gift card makes it the perfect last-minute holiday gift and stocking stuffer for a Tahoe lover.

The Tahoe Chamber’s annual GO Local & Win holiday contest will launch on Small Business Saturday, November 28, and continue through January 1 to reward the community with cash prizes for shopping and dining at local businesses for the holidays.

This campaign comes at a critical time for businesses facing continued restrictions, and it is essential that the community band together and spend locally to save small businesses.

The community is invited to attend the Tahoe Chamber’s 13th Annual Blue Ribbon Awards to honor South Shore businesses and individuals that have impacted the community for the better. In place of the annual awards dinner, winners will be announced in an awards show that is pre-filmed and broadcast on Lake Tahoe Television on November 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Those wishing to attend the free event can register in advance on TahoeChamber.org to get direct access to the awards ceremony.

The best in business returns to the South Shore at the 2019 GO Local Business EXPO taking place Friday, March 29 at Harveys Lake Tahoe from 4:30-8:30 p.m. This annual event is a community favorite that aims to showcase the most cutting-edge businesses. Each year approximately 90 exhibitors feature their latest and greatest products, services and promotions. All members of the community are encouraged to attend and can expect a night of food tasting, beer and wine sampling, live music and vendor giveaways.

For residents, this campaign promotes and rewards the value of shopping and dining locally, with a chance to win gift certificates, a stay-cation, and a shot at three grand prizes. For business owners and operators, it provides an opportunity to promote and expand their base of customers or clientele.

The holidays are upon us which means ‘tis the season to GO Local! Tahoe Chamber’s annual GO Local & Win! contest is kicking off on Small Business Saturday, November 25. Simply pick up a GO Local & Win passport at participating businesses or download one online, then shop or dine at any of the participating business through January 1, 2018. For every $25 spent contestants will receive a stamp on their passport. Completed passports are eligible to up to $500 in cash prizes and those that follow along on the @GOLocalTahoe Facebook page have more opportunities to win.

Winners of the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce's (TahoeChamber) GO Local & Win campaign held over the holidays in South Lake Tahoe were announced this week.

The GO Local & Win grand prizewinners, announced via Facebook Live, were Stephanie Moynihan winner of $125, Chelsey Shilaikis winner of $250, and Cathy Vogelgesang winner of $500.

The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce (Tahoe Chamber) will host the GO Local Workshop for Retailers on Thursday, November 3, from 8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m., at Tahoe Mountain Lab, 3079 Harrison Avenue in South Lake Tahoe. The event will feature an overview of the Tahoe Chamber’s GO Local business campaign, the benefits of the campaign, and an audience brainstorming session.

The Tahoe Chamber’s goal of this workshop is to engage local retailers with the GO Local campaign.

"Go Local and Win" is the holiday campaign offered the Tahoe Chamber to encourage people to shop in town and not off the hill, and by doing so shoppers can win weekly prizes.

The second winner was announced today, just for shopping on the South Shore and submitting her receipts. Edita Sirusaite won ski tune, demo or rental from Powder House and is now in the running for the grand prize at the end of the year. Last week, Jennifery Lay won the first weekly prize.

Shoppers buying locally in South Lake Tahoe between November 28 and January 1 might be taking home more than a gift for someone on their list this season.
