August 8, 2023 - 7:30pm The Tahoe iMPRoV Comedy Players celebrate their 30th anniversary with a return to their roots. Each show this season will start with a Comedy Sportz matchup. This portion of the show will be structured just like when the player's improv journey began in 1993. Each show will have special guests from community organizations to play the games with the Improv Players. The second half of the show will turn audience suggestions into hilarious scenes made up on the spot. Celebrating 30 years of entertainment at the lake, the Tahoe Improv Comedy Players bring their best to Valhalla.

Howie's House of Comedy opens in The Loft Tahoe
Submitted by paula on Fri, 02/22/2019 - 7:59pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Local celebrity, radio show host and comedian Howie Nave has teamed up with Paul Reder, co-owner of The Loft Tahoe, to bring national touring comedians to the intimate showroom inside the Heavenly Village.
Howie's House of Comedy will be open every Sunday in the Loft Theater starting March 3. Known for its award-winning magicians from around the world, the theater will now have some of the best names from the world of stand up comedy.

August 2, 2018 - 6:30pm The High Altitude Players present “Whose History is it Anyway?” an evening of comedy improvisation at Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on Thursday, August 2 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Improvisation, or improv, is a form of live theatre in which the plot, characters and dialogue of a game, scene or story are made up in the moment. Often improvisers will take a suggestion from the audience, or draw on some other source of inspiration to get started.

June Joplin, the beloved owner of Comma Coffee in Carson City is a talented jazz vocalist who is bringing her show, Me and Bobby McGee, to the Valhalla Art, Music and Theatre Festival in South Lake Tahoe on July 15.
The show will be in the historic 1920's boat house turned theater located at the Tallac Historic Site.
