Winners of 2016 Blue Ribbon Award winners announced

Nearly 300 community members attended the Tahoe Chamber's 9th annual Blue Ribbon Awards Thursday night at the Hard Rock Lake Tahoe and joined in the celebration of seven awards that honor exceptional South Shore businesses for their excellence in service, entrepreneurship, tourism and experience.

The following are the 2016 Blue Ribbon Awards winners:

Nominations revealed for Blue Ribbon Awards

The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce has announced the nominees for their annual Blue Ribbon Awards with 80 nominations from the community. The program recognizes businesses and individuals who excel in working as one in an effort to improve the quality of life on the South Shore.

Wing Flight at NIght bat program returns to Visitor Center

If you missed the LIVE bats at Taylor Creek Visitors Center in July, you are in luck, they will be back this Friday August 21 at 8:00 p.m. Join Tahoe Heritage Foundation and NorCal Bats for a LIVE bat presentation. This event is open to the public and is a $5.00 donation to the Tahoe Heritage Foundation.

Taylor Creek Visitor Center's Friday Night Summer Programs Begin July 11

The Lake of the Sky Amphitheater evening programs at the Taylor Creek Visitor Center begin July 11, 2014, and continue every Friday evening through August.

The series kicks off Friday, July 11, with "An Evening with Mark Twain" featuring McAvoy Layne performing as Mark Twain live on stage at 7 p.m.
