Letter to the Editor: Tamara Wallace for County Supervisor

WALLACE! WALLACE!! Washington. Lincoln. FDR. When there has been a need for leadership in the USA, the right person arose, sat in the right seat and took constituents into the right direction.

During the 2018 Election for South Lake Tahoe City Council, I sat at a roundtable discussion listening to various candidates’ beliefs, visions and convictions. Tamara Wallace shared her heart for Tahoe. Others at the table scoffed at her and one other candidate mocked her strategy because “… there isn’t any money in the budget!” During Wallace’s tenure as Council Member and Mayor, she accomplished more than others had in the past because she worked with everyone to improve the community! She didn’t childishly sue or threaten lawsuits against other Council Members as was done in the past.

While others said it couldn’t be done, her amazing accomplishments consisted of:

1. Reopened Fire Station #2, hired seven new firefighters, and bought two new fire trucks.
2. Added six new police officers and purchased a new emergency response communication system.
3. Dedicated infrastructure funding and purchased seven new graders/plows.
4. Started the development process for 400-500 workforce and affordable housing units.
5. Balanced the budget.

We’ve had some great Presidents. We had a great Mayor. Now, it’s time we have a great County Supervisor! Do you recall the final scene from the movie “Braveheart”? El Dorado County has a significant need for proven leadership to serve both residents and guests.

There is only one person who will create a remarkable environment for family, community, and FREEDOM. Tamara is the continuation of that brave heart! When voting for County Supervisor, there’s only one choice – ‘WALLACE! WALLACE!!’ Tamara Wallace for County Supervisor!!
