Guided tours offered of Al Tahoe Pioneer Cemetery

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - With the sold-out walking tour of the Al Tahoe Pioneer Cemetery in May, a second one has been added, so no more FOMO (fear of missing out).

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1 p.m., the guided tour of the historic cemetery on Alameda Avenue will take place. Space is limited and reservations are required.

The cost per person is $5. To reserve a spot, stop by the museum during open hours - Thursday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to sign up and pay, or call 530-541-5458. The Lake Tahoe Historical Museum is located at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Rhythm of India

India Arts & Cultural Center of Northern Nevada presents Rhythm of India, a free event on June 21 at Lakeview Commons and El Dorado Beach at 6 p.m. Reno's eminent dance group will be dancing to the rhythms of India with the crystal clear water of Lake Tahoe as a backdrop.

Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day

June 22, 2024 - 9:00am

Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are invited to join us for a fun morning of restoration projects. Together we will work to restore some of Lakes Tahoe’s nearshore environment that was impacted over the winter season and prepare it for the busy summer months ahead.

Philanthropy on Tap at The Hangar

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The El Dorado Community Foundation his hosting "Philanthropy on Tap" at two locations his month, one on the west slope, and one in South Lake Tahoe.

These unique events will provide a “flight” of 35-40 nonprofit organizations serving El Dorado County. Each organization will have 60-90 seconds to provide its elevator speech describing its mission, programs, and greatest needs. These events are open to the community for free.

Keep Memory Alive’s annual Summer Festival & Rodeo at Shakespeare Ranch, a private Lake Tahoe estate in Glenbrook, Nev., returns on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30 for another weekend of rodeo excitement to raise funds in the fight against neurodegenerative diseases and recognize local philanthropist and entrepreneur Kern Schumacher with the Community Leadership Award.
