South Tahoe Earth Day

South Tahoe Earth Day is back at the Bijou Community Park this year, across from the Lake Tahoe Community College, 1099 Al Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year's Earth Day has something for everyone, including a new Speaker Corner with talks on Tahoe Tessie, the history of Lake Tahoe, our edible Sierra and more. Our Kid Zone will be full of recycle-themed arts and crafts like
milk-carton wallets and sun print papers, and the Bounce House will help bounce out that extra energy your little one just can't get rid of. Be sure to bring some cash for our Earth Day raffle and also our local artists that are a new addition to our Earth Day vendor booths.

The Willy Woggle Circus is back this year to entertain throughout the day and local band Groovebox will be sure to keep you moving with their jamming tunes on our main stage. Earth Day is a great way to come out and celebrate the beauty of where we live, educates the public about local environmental issues and, it's FREE! Go to www.southtahoeearthday.org.
Meanwhile, the Lake Tahoe Home and Garden Show, presented by Golden Bear Events, will be held in the Physical Education Gymnasium at Lake Tahoe Community College. The show will be Friday, April 27 from 4 pm to 8 pm; and Saturday, April 28, from 10 am to 4 pm.
Sponsorships are still available. Booths are available for $250 each for the entire show. Both are limited, and will be offered on a first come, first serve basis. For more information about a sponsorship or to reserve a booth, please call JoAnn at (530) 544-7412 or email jctahoewriter@hotmail.com.
