The Reno Tahoe International Film Festival has announced details of its inaugural event, set for June 5-7, 2015 . Over 40 top independent films from around the world have been included. Festival executive director, Donna Walden, also stated that some local film entries have been chosen as official selections.

The film festival will include full feature screenings, special events and an awards reception held at the festival headquarters, The Siena Hotel Spa Casino. In addition there will be showcases at additional screening locations including, Galaxy Luxury + IMAX Theatres in Sparks and Century Riverside 12 in downtown Reno and the Art Haus & Cinema in Tahoe City, California.

One of the anticipated full features to be shown Saturday night, June 6th at the Art Haus & Cinema in Tahoe City and Sunday evening in Sparks, is the Hawaiian comedy “Get A Job”. It stars renowned music entertainers Willie K, Augie Tulba, Mick Fleetwood, Willie Nelson and Jake Shimabukuro. It is an added value bonus indie as there are 18 original songs by the Barefoot Natives (Willie K and Eric Gilliom). Director Brian Kohne fused world class musicality with plenty of laugh-out-loud island fun.

One of the producers from “Get A Job”, Raymond Rolak, will conduct a Q & A after the showcase at the Art Haus & Cinema.

The RTIFF is hosting a free enrichment presentation for ticketholders of any one of the particular film sessions. On Saturday, June 6th at 2:00 p.m., at The Siena Hotel Spa & Casino in Reno, Rolak, will showcase a forum on the "Fusion of Music & Cinema". He will present a template for emerging filmmakers regarding the journey of incorporating new music with their films. "This planning starts in preproduction and the time line will platform long honored techniques on how musicians and filmmakers can collaborate," said Rolak.

The RTIFF will give the GET A JOB soundtrack CD, recorded by the Barefoot Natives, Willie K and Eric Gilliom, to the first 30 attendees. Produced by Brian Kohne, you are invited to see and hear how his vision of musicality enriched GET A JOB. Learn how any cinema project can enhance their entertainment value in multiples. A perfect session for educators, students, musicians, songsters, screenwriters and lovers of cinema. A complimentary industry worksheet will be given to all attendees. http://rtiff.org/Students
