Public Comment Period Closing for the Tourist Core Area Plan

The City of South Lake Tahoe has prepared a joint environmental document consisting of an Initial Study/Negative Declaration and Initial Environmental Checklist/Finding of No Significant Effect (IS/ND and IEC/FONSE) for the Tourist Core Area Plan. The draft environmental document is being circulated for public review and comment for 30 calendar days. Public agencies and interested members of the public are invited to review and comment on the document. All comments should be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 28, 2013.

Comments received in response to this solicitation, including names and address of those who comment, will be part of the public record for this project. It is the responsibility of persons providing comments to submit them by the close of the comment period.

A copy of the IS/ND, IEC/FONSE and Draft Tourist Core Area Plan can be downloaded at www.cityofslt.us//touristcoreareaplan. Paper copies are available for review at the following locations during regular business hours: City of South Lake Tahoe, 1052 Tata Lane, South Lake Tahoe, CA and at TRPA, 128 Market Street, Stateline, NV.

The public is invited to attend the following public meetings on the Tourist Core Area Plan:

CSLT Planning Commission Hearing (recommendation to City Council) on September 12, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.

CSLT City Council (public hearing) on October 1, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.

All meetings will be held at the City Council Chambers, 1901 Airport Road, South Lake Tahoe, CA.
