Barton Health brings back services to Robert Maloff Orthopedics & Wellness Center

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - With services stopped during the first months of the pandemic due to safety concerns, Barton Health is bringing back health and wellness programs to its Robert Maloff Center for Orthopedics & Wellness.

Winning ticket pulled for Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation Hawaii drawing

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation (LTEF) recently wrapped up their 2020 Hawaii Condo raffle and the winner is Jordan Richie of South Lake Tahoe.

Richie, an athletic trainer at Barton Performance Center and the Head Athletic Trainer at South Tahoe High School, had his ticket pulled by Brooklyn Pakes.

The annual raffle pulled in $8,000 for LTEF to use for their annual grants. LTEF typically allocates between $50,000 and $75,000 for educational projects in Lake Tahoe Unified School District where local students benefit from every dollar donated.

Tahoe Chamber webinar to focus on emotional and physical wellness

Area agencies planning and using precaution in case COVID-19 hits South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Over 34 million Americans have caught the flu this year with over 20,000 deaths recorded, but its the coronavirus COVID-19 that is getting all the headlines.

There are no current reported cases of COVID-19 in South Lake Tahoe/El Dorado County, Alpine County or Douglas County, but local agencies want to be prepared, just in case people come down with the virus.

Finalists named for 12th annual Blue Ribbon Awards

LAKE TAHOE, Ca./Nv. – Tahoe Chamber's 12th annual Blue Ribbons Awards will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Harrah's Lake Tahoe. The event honors and celebrates South Shore businesses and individuals.

The cost of the event is $65 for Tahoe Chamber members and $85 for non-members and includes champagne upon arrival, a 3-course dinner and a glass of wine.

At Barton Health, bike fitting is geared towards clients who road bike, mountain bike, or compete in triathlons – all with the goal of optimizing body position to maximize performance, based on the rider’s recreational or competitive goals and history of injury.
