The Tahoe Chamber has announced the 2020 list of 40 Under 40 honorees. The 40 Under 40 program highlights and honors the South Shore's brightest young community leaders and business professionals’ accomplishments, community involvement, and leadership.

The epic giveaways on KRLT with Ricky, Howie and Lisa - $120,000 and counting

LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. - What do you get when you mix two angels with a comic on morning radio in Lake Tahoe? Daily cash giveaways that can turn an ordinary day into something magical.

It started on November 7, 2018. Ricky Reich, a local man who has become known as "The Angel of Tahoe's Guardian," walked into the studios of KRLT-FM on Kingsbury Grade in Stateline, Nevada. He had been listening to Howie Nave's Morning Rush shown on the station and wanted to pay homage to Lisa Maloff, the Angel of Tahoe.

12th Annual Blue Ribbon Award winners announced

The winners of the 12th annual Blue Ribbon Awards were announced Thursday, November 14, at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. Over 300 community members attended to celebrate the winners of seven awards that honor outstanding South Shore businesses, organizations and individuals for civic contributions, tourism experiences, customer service and entrepreneurial achievements.

Airport Way renamed "Lisa Maloff Way" in honor of her numerous contributions

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - In honor of Mrs. Lisa Maloff's numerous contributions to our community, today the South Lake Tahoe City Council officially renamed a street after her, and issued a proclamation.

In this proclamation, the City extended to Lisa and Robert "Bob" Maloff their appreciation and gratitude for the numerous donations made to the local community. Her philanthropic donations have forever changed the community and her donations
throughout the medical, education, field sports, and family services will touch generations of Lake Tahoe residents.

AAUW South Lake Tahoe General Meeting - Tour of the Robert Maloff Center

AAUW-South Lake Tahoe General Meeting Our next meeting will be held on April 6, 2019 at 10 AM at the Robert Maloff Center, home to the Barton Center for Orthopedics and Wellness. Gregory Burkard Jr., DO is an interventional pain and sports medicine physiatrist who recently joined Tahoe Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. I sat down with him to learn more about his medical specialty and the services available.

Natasha Schue (NS): What exactly does a physiatrist do?
Dr. Burkard: I see and treat people living with pain. Pain can be caused by one or several factors. Most patients I see have pain from sports injuries, overuse injuries, and accidents that unfortunately resulted in functional disabilities.

High blood pressure is very common. The Centers for Disease Control states that it affects one in three American adults and more than 50 percent of people over 55 years of age.

Dr. Jeffrey Orr returns to South Lake Tahoe as Barton's newest surgeon

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Barton Health announced today that Jeffrey Orr, MD, has returned to his hometown of South Lake Tahoe to join its network of talented orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Orr received his medical doctorate from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He conducted his orthopedic surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his fellowship training at the University of South Florida. He’s an affiliate of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
