Sportsmanship, not rivalry, at South Tahoe High-Truckee High basketball game

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There has always been a strong rivalry between South Tahoe High and Truckee High but in just one minute that changed and what came out of their February 7th basketball game was an extreme case of sportsmanship, team and school spirit, and class.

Those on the South Shore will be treated to two holiday bazaars on Sunday, December 3, 2017.
Golden Bear Events is hosting their annual Winter Bazaar at the American Legion at 2748 Lake Tahoe Boulevard. From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., holiday shoppers can find See's Candies, handmade jewelry, home decor, books from local authors, photography, treats from Don's Cakes by the Lake, Girl Scout Troop #123 will be selling handmade crafts, Beauty Control, hair accessories, fiber arts, clothing and more, plus the Cheer Team will be gift wrapping for a donation.
South Tahoe High cheer and dance team clinic starts Monday; Tryouts June 2

Students interested in being on the South Tahoe High Cheer or Dance teams will be starting with clincis on Monday, May 25.
Here is the schedule and other needed information:
Mon 05/25 – First Timers Clinic Cheer Sound Stage 3pm-5pm (will be moved to Gold Gym if not enough space on Sound Stage)
Tues 05/26 – Prep Clinic Cheer & Dance Gold Gym 3pm – 5pm
Wed 05/27 – Prep Clinic Cheer & Dance Gold Gold Gym 3pm – 5pm
Thurs 05/28 – Prep Clinic Cheer & Dance Gold Gold Gym 3pm – 5pm

South Tahoe Vikings beat Sparks Railroaders on Senior Night

It was Senior Night in the Blue Gym at South Tahoe High School on Tuesday Night, and the seniors made it count.
Seven members of the Vikings varsity basketball team will be graduating in June, and as is tradition, parents and family members join their students on the court for a celebration. Seniors on the girl's basketball team, cheer team and dance team also took part in the festivities.
South Tahoe High Cheer Team wins first place at Davis competition

The Varsity Cheer team from South Tahoe High is bringing home a first place trophy from the United Spirit Association (USA) California Open held at UC Davis on Sunday, February 1.
The STHS girls won the "Varsity Show Cheer Advanced" category.
Cheer and dance teams from Northern California competed.
