Join thousands of volunteers nationwide to help keep our waterways clean and blue on September 15 for National Beach Cleanup Day. The League to Save Lake Tahoe will be coordinating a cleanup at Kings Beach State Recreation Area from 9 a.m. to noon. The League welcomes volunteers of all ages and abilities. Other Tahoe-area organizations will also be coordinating cleanups along the lake's shoreline and its tributaries

Lake Tahoe basin residents and visitors are invited to help remove of one of Tahoe's most prolific aquatic invasive weeds, Eurasian watermilfoil, during the first Community Aquatic Weeds Removal Project at Baldwin Beach on Sunday, June 3.

Missing Woman Michaela Vandenberg located

UPDATE 11:51AM: Michaela Vandenberg, who had been reported missing on the morning of May 15, was found unharmed on the evening of May 15. South Lake Tahoe Police Department utilized available resources to locate the woman, according to the city's website.
