Winter concert series continues to at Lake Tahoe Golf Course

The FNCTN Winter Music Series continues on Friday, February 20 at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course Clubhouse when two bands hit the stage.

Eli Seth Lieberman, from Strive Roots, will start the evening out at 8:30 p.m. along with other entertainment including live painting, both non-profit and organization booths and giveaways from sponsors Sierra-at-Tahoe and Blackjack Taxi.

Winter music series rocks the Lake Tahoe Golf Course

Live music, painting, giveaways and local sponsor and non-profit booths will all be part of the action as the FNCTN Winter Music Series has it's second event of the season. It will be rocking inside the Lake Tahoe Golf Course on Friday, January 23, 2015. Top S.F. Bay Area band Forrest Day and funky jam band Big Sticky Mess will both perform at the clubhouse.

Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and admission is $10 (FREE on your birthday) with affordable drink options available to suit a ski bum budget including Redbull with Tahoe Blue Vodka.

Himmel Haus to start Haus Party Winter Music Series in the new year

Starting Friday, January 9, 2015, the Haus Party Winter Music Series will offer live music from all over California, Nevada and the Pacific Northwest every other Friday night.

This 21 and over music series will be held every other Friday night, January 9 – April 17, 2015 at Himmel Haus in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Doors will open at 9:00 pm with live music starting at 9:30 pm. There will be a $10 admission (FREE admission on your birthday) with affordable drink options to suit a ski bum budget including $4 Red Bull and Shochu and $4 premium ½ liter beers.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign in South Lake Tahoe

In the United States, 31% of all traffic fatalities involve drunk driving which means 10,322 people are killed by drunk drivers annually, with 802 of those in California alone.

With holiday parties and festive occasions, more people will be drinking that during a normal week.

HeliVertex now certified to be an air taxi

El Dorado County Law Enforcement: Halloween Crackdown on Drunk Drivers

This Halloween, police, sheriff and CHP Officers in El Dorado County will crack down on drunk and drugged drivers throughout the region with an aggressive Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort. The Avoid the 6 DUI Task Force has given a fair warning to all partygoers: keep the party off the road.

“The scariest part of Halloween is not the spooky costumes and scary pranks, it’s the impaired drivers. All too often, partygoers don’t plan ahead and choose to drive impaired, but a costume can’t disguise drunk driving,” said Press Information Officer Dave Stevenson.

Authorities prepare for Lake Tahoe New Year's Eve party at Stateline

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is readying itself for the upcoming New Years Eve celebration at Lake Tahoe beginning Monday, Dec. 31. Each year upwards of 60,000 celebrants ring in the New Year in the casino core area of Stateline, Nev.

Due to the ordinarily high volume of celebrants within the Stateline casino core area during the event, U.S. Highway 50 may be closed to vehicle traffic in the evening if necessary for public safety. If that should occur, vehicle traffic will be diverted around the Stateline casino core area using upper and lower Lake Parkway Drive.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will participate in several high-visibility traffic enforcement details over the Nevada Day / pre-Halloween weekend.
During the late evening and early morning hours of Friday through Sunday, October 28th-30th, deputies of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, working in conjunction with deputies of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, will conduct increased DUI enforcement patrols on the highways and roadways within Douglas County.
