Weather - It's a cold one this morning with a temperature reading of -7 at 7 a.m. South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 23 and a low tonight of 8. Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 23. East wind around 10 mph. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 8. East wind around 5 mph becoming southwest after midnight.

Heavenly - Packed Powder. No New Snow in last 24 hours. 98% of their terrain is now open which means 4700 acres, 28 lifts and 95 runs are open. The base depth is 63". Lift status. Mostly sunny, with a high near 19. South wind around 10 mph.

Message from Heavenly: Cold start to the new year for heavenly, but with little to no wind, and mostly sunny skies, the riding will be great!

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Packed Powder. No new snow. 11 lifts are open. Burton Progressive, Bashful and Upper Snowshoe pipes are open. Groomed conditions on 31 of their open 41 runs. Base depth is 40". Lift status. Mostly sunny, with a high near 23. Wind chill values as low as -6. East wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Kirkwood - Packed Powder. No new snow. 100% of the mountain terrain is open with 2300 acres, 12 lifts and 86 runs. 66" base.Lift status. The base depth is 66". Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. Wind chill values as low as -5. East wind 11 to 15 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.
