Winter weather advisory issued for the Lake Tahoe Basin from January 14 at 2:00 p.m. to January 15 at 10:00 a.m.

Weather - South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 39 and a low tonight of 33. Today: Snow likely, mainly after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Tonight: SSnow. Low around 33. Windy, with a southwest wind 25 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Heavenly - Powder. 7" New Snow in last 24 hours. 100% of their terrain is now open which means 4800 acres, 23 lifts and 97 runs are open. Base depth is 66". Terrain Parks open - Terrain Parks open - Groove (13 features) High Roller (16 features) including the Family Cross course. Lift status. SSnow likely, mainly after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Very windy, with a west wind 30 to 35 mph increasing to 40 to 45 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 70 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Message from Heavenly: We have received 7" of new snow over the past 24 hours, with 5" falling during the day yesterday, and 2" overnight. Strong W winds and gusts are expected to persist today and to increase this afternoon, so please stay tuned for any updates, as lift operations may be impacted. Today will be mostly cloudy with a high near 33°. Snow is likely, mainly after 4:00pm. Weather permitting; we will have 23 lifts spinning from 9:00am-4:00pm, giving access to 97 trails, of which nearly 50% were freshly groomed overnight. Our groomers trail picks of the day are High Five in CA and Big Dipper in NV. Please note: World Cup, North Bowl and Boulder lifts are closed for the day. Mott and Groove lifts will not open until 10:00 am.

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Powder. 5" new snow. 100% of the terrain is now open. 9 lifts are open. The Alley, Burton Progressive, Bashful, Upper Main and Upper Snowshoe parks are open. Groomed conditions on 31 of their open 46 runs. Base depth is 47" to 87". Lift status. Snow, mainly after 4pm. High near 32. Southwest wind 7 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
