Diamond Peak at Lake Tahoe is the little resort that can

Diamond Peak mountain resort doesn't get much national press coverage largely because it is a family resort. But it has some fine runs and great views of Lake Tahoe. And its Last Tracks windup to a day on the slopes is unmatched anywhere around Tahoe. I know, I've gone it several times.
Don't write it off as a rich man's resort because it's in Incline Village. And yes, there are some very challenging runs, that one on the left looking uphill on the quad chair has some truly demanding moments. Its beginner area is controlled and its ski and snowboard area has its own chairlift. For families it's as nice as it can be with a new lodge.
I've enjoyed Diamond Peak every season and plan to be be in the weeks to come.

OK, here's what the resort is telling us these days:
We’re sending a friendly reminder to our friends that the skiing is really good at Diamond Peak with a four-foot base of great machine made groomed corduroy on the upper mountain and 100 percent of our beginner terrain open on the lower mountain. Please see our discount pricing for groups of 10 or more along with other great specials like our locals lunch for $20 you get two hours of skiing and a $10 lunch voucher.
Once here, you’ll find lifts with no lines and a helpful friendly staff to care for your every need. The best part is we feature a mountain that offers challenges for seasoned skiers and riders, plus facilities dedicated solely to beginners. We just completed an $8 million base area renovation including two new ski and snowboard schools and the expanded base lodge facilities include a private fireplace meeting/lunch area for your group.
