Kudos: Bread & Broth thanks Kiwanis of Tahoe Sierra

“A very fulfilling and gratifying evening,” exclaimed Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra member Sharon Seegelken. “The dinner guests were very friendly and appreciative,” she added. The evening dinner that Sharon was describing was the Monday Meal served by Bread & Broth on January 7th. Thanks to the generous $300 donation made by the Kiwanis Club, Bread & Broth held its weekly Monday Meal dinner and everyone who came to St. Theresa’s Grace Hall was welcome to enjoy a hot, nutritious dinner and given food to take home.

The Kiwanis Club has been sponsoring an annual Adopt A Day of Nourishment since the inception of the program in 2010. Year after year, the Kiwanis have been hosting a B&B Monday Meal every January and B&B looks forward to their participation. In addition to Sharon, the Kiwanis Club was represented by Kiwanis Club President-elect Kelly Meyer, Richard Burgess, Bob Olsen, and Carolyn Willford. These five sponsor crew members exemplified the Club’s dedication to service. They spent their three hours of service helping where needed and making sure that the evening’s meal was enjoyed by all who attended.

Sharon ended her comments by writing, “the community involvement in this program is awesome!” B&B enjoys sharing the feeling of helping others though the Adopt A Day Program and hosting an AAD fits right into the Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra’s dedication to serving others. Thank you to the Kiwanis organization for their strong belief in helping others.
