Tahoe casinos "win" figure $18.2 million in December

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,432,633,317 for December 2023, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board's monthly report released Wednesday. This amounts to a 9.04 percent increase compared to the same month a year ago when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,313,801,128. For the fiscal year to date (since July), the gaming win has increased by 5.49 percent with $8,005,945,288 in "win".

The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

For Lake Tahoe's south shore, the "win" revenue was $16,119,196, up 2.99 percent from December 2022's $15,651,871. For their fiscal year, revenue win is down by 5.35 percent as compared to the previous period. The South Shore fiscal year win to date is $135,537,457.

On the south shore, $5,795,000 came from table games and $10,324,000 from slots.

Carson Valley area casinos reported an $11,707,465 gaming win, up 13.51 percent. On the North Shore, the reported gaming win of $2,106,859 was up 2.61 percent.

Casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County saw gaming-related revenue decrease over the last year collectively by 2.87 percent with a "win" of $80,350,349.

Las Vegas/Clark County casinos had a "win" of $1,269,778,049, up 9.75 percent over the same month last year.

For the fiscal year to date, Nevada has collected $584,904,466 in percentage fees.
