SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe (BGCLT) is hosting an art show at the Lake Tahoe Airport from February 16 to February 19.

Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, a select number of club members’ artwork is chosen to be in the show. The art is separated into four age groups: 6 to 9 years old, 10 to 12 years old, 13 to 15 years old, and 16 to 18 years old. Their work is in the four art categories of drawing, painting, sculpture, and pastels, with up to 16 art pieces on display - one for each age in each category.

The two judges this year are local artists and educators, Kristin Boles and Matt Kauffmann, who will determine the local winners that will go onto the Boys & Girls Club of America’s National Arts Contest.

Gina Stowell, the Club’s art specialist, instructs students in many different art programs and camps throughout the year. She has seen all of the wonderful creative work that Club members have done.

“We are so excited for the Club kids’ art show," said Stowell. "The members have so much fun creating art in the art room and our exhibit will allow them to see, share, and take pride in the work they and their peers have created. The Club's art show is a unique opportunity to showcase our members' work and share their vision with the community.”

If you would like to see the amazing artwork done by local youth, visit the Lake Tahoe Airport, 1901 Airport Rd Suite 100, during operating hours from February 16-19. There will be a reception held the night before on February 15 for Club families and invited guests from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
