Tahoe Regional Young Professionals Seek Additional Board Members

Tahoe Regional Young Professionals are seeking three new Board of Director positions: an Assistant Executive Director, Finance and Special Events Director. Application and nominations are being accepted until May 5. The current Board of Directors will conduct interviews, May 7-9, vote and announce the newest additions to the organization mid-May.

The Assistant Executive Director (AED)’s main role is to provide a backup to the Executive Director, and to become familiar with the responsibilities of the ED. The AED should possess the personal attributes of enthusiasm, motivation, persistence, courage, imagination, dedication, diplomacy, and appreciation, with strong emphasis on interpersonal communication skills.

The Finance Director (FD) shall perform the usual duties of the office and those assigned by the Board and, at the Annual Business Meeting, shall report to the members on the financial status of the group. This individual would provide annual budget to the Board for approval; manage finances for the organization; administrate fiscal matters of the organization and ensure development and Board review of financial policies and procedures.

The Special Events Director (SED) is responsible for providing leadership and management for the Group’s comprehensive special and community based events program. This individual would manage and oversee the TRYP events calendar; collaborate with the ED to seek, enhance, and initiate fundraising opportunities and community donors for current events while identifying new ones through sponsorship proposals, follow-up donation calls, and prize solicitation calls as needed.
