SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Eight leading Lake Tahoe area musicians will perform in a live stream benefit concert this Wednesday, April 15 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to raise money for emergency assistance to South Shore families during the COVID-19 shutdown.
Among those performing at the Tahoe Supports Tahoe concert: Chad Lawrence and Martin Bush of South Tahoe Funk Union; Chris Seal of Bison; Annie Davidson, singer and songwriter; Eric Smith, recording artist at Edgetone Records.
The concert can be viewed on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 PM, on the event Facebook page.
All contributions will go to Tahoe Magic, an area non-profit that has provided emergency help to local families for 27 years.
Tahoe Supports Tahoe is a fundraising drive to help Tahoe Magic respond to unprecedented needs during the coronavirus pandemic. Tahoe Magic has already dispersed more than $40,000 to 305 individuals since early March, as much as it usually disperses in an entire year.
$25,000 has been raised since March 20 and $15,000 just in the past week. Their goal is to raise at least $100,000 to help people with the effects of the COVID-19 caused shutdowns.
The musicians, who have themselves been hit very hard by the COVID shutdown, are generously performing to help the community.
