Roller coaster week again in South Lake Tahoe: Sunny and warm start, chance snow, rain, thunderstorms at end

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - It was a beautiful April day around Lake Tahoe this weekend, and expect one more of the same before some unsettled weather passes through.
Robust upper ridging, which is responsible for our stretch of warm
and dry weather will dislodge late Monday into Tuesday as an eastern Pacific trough approaches the region. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno, this will allow for a much more progressive synoptic pattern for the remainder of the week and into the weekend, featuring much cooler weather, increased breezes, and daily chances of showers and thunderstorms, along with upper elevation snow.
The South Lake Tahoe forecast from NWS Reno:
Monday - Sunny, with a high near 67. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 36. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Tuesday - A 20 percent chance of showers after 11 am. Snow level 9400 feet. Sunny, with a high near 62. Light southwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light southwest in the evening.
Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. Calm wind, becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low of around 30.
Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.
Thursday Night - A chance of rain showers before 11 pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Snow level 7600 feet lowering to 6900 feet after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 31.
Friday - A chance of rain and snow showers before 11 am, then rain showers are likely. Snow level at 6700 feet. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44.
Friday Night - A chance of rain and snow showers. Snow level 6800 feet lowering to 6400 feet after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 28.
Saturday - A slight chance of rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly sunny, with a high near 47.
