Heavenly Village Concert Series runs through Labor Day in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Heavenly Village is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a full lineup for its summer concert series which gets officially underway on Memorial Day weekend. So far, forty shows have been booked for the stage located between two of the village's restaurants, Fire and Ice and Gunbarrel Tavern.

The Heavenly Village Concert Series (HVSCS) runs through Labor Day. Show times are 5:45 p.m. - 9:15 p.m. and shows are free to the public.

“The concert series has turned into a legacy event each year for locals and visitors over the years," said Gary Casteel CEO of Trans Sierra Investments/Shops at Heavenly Village. "The energy of live music in the village under the gondola with Heavenly in the background is truly special. Thank you to all our locals, valuable visitors, and day trip traffic that visit the village each weekend.”

The HVSCS goes big this year with acts varying from Steele Breeze, 10-year veterans of the series to the mariachi band, Mariachi Cazadores. Reno's favorite Audiobox is back for 2023, reggae from Jake Nielson, country music from North Forty, local favorites Tahoe Tribe and also False Rhythms are just a few booked as part of the series. Also included is a monster show which brought hundreds of people out in 2022, the Spazmatics from San Francisco on the Saturday of the American Century Championship. With their crazy costumes and fun stage antics, the Spazmatics truly are a party.

“I can’t tell you how amazing it is to have such incredible ownership that supports this project the way the Casteels do," said Dreu Murin, of Dreu Murin Productions. "Plus, the bands LOVE playing the village. The series keeps growing and the best part is, it’s FREE!!!”

Murin said the HVSCS group receives over thirty inquiries per week to play at the venue by various acts.

“The concert series is one of many things we have going on in the village during the Summer. We also have our Cinco de Mayo festival, brewfests, and multiple other events going on weekly during the series,” Murin stated.
