Tahoe Tessie's Beach Bites opening at Lakeview Commons

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The owners of Chicken in a Barrel and the Baked Bear in South Lake Tahoe are opening their third venture, Tahoe Tessie's Beach Bites. The seasonal concession at Lakeview Commons at El Dorado Beach is scheduled to open on Thursday, May 13.

Featuring "beach bites" and "State Fair" food, those stopping by will see a menu featuring their Chicken in a Barrel chicken, ribs, and pork sandwiches, cotton candy, mini donuts, nachos, all-beef hot dogs, hot links, grilled cheese sandwiches, candy, Snowie's (Shaved Ice) and more.

Sierra-at-Tahoe previously ran the concession and let the new operators use their name, Tahoe Tessie's Beach Bites, and their Snowie machine.

To start off, the beachfront business will be open Thursday-Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to sunset. As summer gets going they'll expand to seven days a week.
