Tahoe Bike Challenge

Event Date:
June 1, 2016 (All day)

The Tahoe Bike Challenge runs from June 1 to June 14 in South Lake Tahoe. This is a time the community celebrates getting out of their cars and using a bike to get to work, play and school.

Thousands of miles were logged during the last Tahoe Bike Challenge by school kids, city and county workers, employees at local agencies and your neighbors as they ran errands, got to work, and enjoyed free time.

This year's event kicks off on Wednesday, June 1 at Lakeview Commons from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be a "paddle" portion to all that pedaling with a two hour lesson and rentals on the water.

Schedule:
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. - $20 special two hour paddle board rental with mini-lesson
5:00 p.m. - Bike Challenge kick off with a proclamation by the City of South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County
5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - For the first time, a historic bike ride through the Al Tahoe neighborhood with stops at several historic points of interest.
All ages are welcome to all events.
