Kingsbury road rage incident leads to arrest of one driver

Two vehicles driving down Kingsbury Grade on Monday night were involved in a road rage incident that led to the arrest of a Stateline, Nevada man.

On May 30, 2016, at approximately 10:51 p.m., the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) received calls about a road rage incident between two cars driving down Kingsbury Grade. Both of the involved drivers called 911 to complain about the other driver's aggressive and possibly intoxicated driving.

During the incident it is alleged that a gun was pointed at a driver after which the parties separated.

DCSO deputies were able to locate both vehicles and stopped each separately and the subsequent investigation led to the location of a weapon belonging to Jared Kaiser, age 31 of Stateline.

Kaiser was arrested for on felony charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Driving under the Influence, Possession of a Firearm while intoxicated, and Reckless Driving.

Kaiser claimed he was a former police officer who used to work in Southern California and possessed a valid permit for the weapon. Both weapon and the permit were confiscated at the time of arrest and DCSO has not confirmed if he was an actual officer.
