Gunshot fired inside South Lake Tahoe bar, local man arrested

UPDATE 9:45AM: A single gunshot was fired inside a South Lake Tahoe bar early Sunday morning that missed patrons after an argument between two men, authorities said.
The incident happened at around 1:40 a.m. at Whiskey Dick's, 2660 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Scott William Enerson, 48, was arrested in the incident. He faces a charge of attempted murder, according to El Dorado County Sheriff's Office booking information. There were no injuries as a result of the gunfire. Minor injuries were reported that resulted from a fight.
"There was a gun discharged inside the bar. There were minor injuries but nothing that involved the gun, which was secured," said South Lake Tahoe Police Officer Aaron Crawford. "There were two people involved and one was arrested."

Two witnesses who were inside when the shot was fired said there was an argument, a gun went off, the weapon was taken out of the hands of the shooter and the man who fired the shot was repeatedly hit in the face by another man.
The case is under investigation. There were at least two other bar fights on the Nevada side on Saturday night in which paramedics were called.
Sunday's incident also comes less than a month after a bar fight that left a Ripon, Calif. man critically injured. On May 20, a fight at Mo's Place in South Lake Tahoe resulted in Derek “Zippy” Penaranda, clinging to life in a coma at Renown Medical Center in Reno. The family of Penaranda, 30, told the Tahoe Daily Tribune that he suffered brain damage from the fight.
