As high pressure settles in expect a week of 80s in Lake Tahoe

No rain is in sight as high pressure gradually builds up over the Sierra through the weekend, bringing hot and dry conditions to northeast California and western Nevada.
The heat this week won't be near record breaking though it will be close on Saturday, July 8. The forecast of 87 is equal to the highest on record set in 1989. T
Forecast from the National Weather Service:
Tonight - Clear, with a low around 47. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening.
Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph.
Sunday Night - Clear, with a low around 48. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Monday - Sunny, with a high near 85. West wind around 5 mph.
Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 49. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Independence Day - Sunny, with a high near 85.
Tuesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 49.
Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 82.
Wednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 46.
Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 84.
Thursday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 46.
Friday - Sunny, with a high near 86.
Friday Night - Clear, with a low around 48.
Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 87.
