Investigators seek information from the public on Poeville Fire in Reno

RENO, Nev. - The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District is seeking information regarding the start of the Poeville Fire on Peavine Mountain in Reno. The cause of the fire is under investigation and fire officials are asking for information from the public who might have seen something during the time frame of 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. June 27, 2020.
As of Thursday evening, the fire is 95 percent contained and has burned 2,975 acres of grass and sage. Crews on the scene are working on fire suppression repair.
