Two South Tahoe Babe Ruth teams head to regional finals, looking for community support

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Two of the South Tahoe Babe Ruth teams have done it again - heading the the U.S. Regional finals!

Both the 13-15 year-old and 16-18 year-old teams won the Nevada State All-Star tournament and have qualified to travel to Bakersfield July 25 – July 30, 2021 to face the other seven teams in Regionals (there are eight regions in the country). Their opponents include the Northern, Central and Southern California champs, Arizona and Utah's North and South winners.

Each team needs to raise $5,000 to compete in Regionals and represent Lake Tahoe. The winners at Regionals go on to the Babe Ruth World Series.

After a year without recreational baseball, the teams have been striving all season to make it where they now are, and are asking for the community's support to help them reach their goals.

Babe Ruth is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization. All donations will go directly to the kids.
